There is an undersea cave called ‘the Cathedral’ in the waters off Premuda. The cave is very well lit by natural light thanks to large openings, passages and holes in its ceiling. Beams of light through the latter holes illuminate the interior during the day, therefore giving it the impression of a holy sanctuary like a cathedral, hence the cave’s name.
